James Walsh

James Walsh is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching mathematics at the elementary level, currently serving as a 3rd Grade Guided Math Teacher at KIPP Chicago since July 2021. Prior to this role, James was a 3rd Grade Lead Math Teacher and Stage 4 Distinguished Teacher at Achievement First Brownsville Elementary School, where notable contributions included leading remote math planning and achieving significant student growth. James has also created and implemented a school-wide data-driven achievement plan at 21st Century Charter School at Gary, resulting in substantial improvements in student test scores. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
