Erik Johnson has extensive work experience in finance and strategic advisory roles. Erik currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at KIPP Colorado Public Schools since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant, providing strategic advisory services until September 2022.
Previously, Erik held the position of Director of Finance Strategy at Los Angeles Unified School District from January 2021 to September 2022. Erik also worked at Denver Public Schools, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer from April 2019 to December 2019. Before that, they worked as the Executive Director of Finance from January 2016 to April 2019 and as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis from December 2013 to January 2016.
Erik's earlier experience includes roles such as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at CoreSite from March 2012 to July 2013, Finance Director at CenturyLink from August 2011 to March 2012, Manager - Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis at CenturyLink from August 2009 to September 2011, and Lead Financial/Business Analyst - Corporate FP&A at CenturyLink from January 2008 to August 2009.
Erik'scareer began at Qwest Communications, where they worked as a Lead Financial/Business Analyst in Information Technologies Finance from September 2004 to January 2007.
Erik Johnson completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Macalester College from 1998 to 2002.
