LaQuinda Grimes is a dedicated dance educator and founder with notable experience in various roles within the dance and arts community. Currently serving as a Dance Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since April 2022, LaQuinda also founded SomewhereDancing…, a virtual platform celebrating the intersection of culture and dance. Previous positions include Dance Instructor at Savannah State University and Creative Movement Instructor at Dance Limerick. LaQuinda contributed to Cue the Lens, Inc. as Co-Founder and Executive Director, focusing on providing artistic training to underserved children. Additional experiences include working as a Video Production & Ethnochoreology Intern at the Smithsonian Institution and a Young Explorer Grantee for National Geographic. LaQuinda holds a Master’s Degree in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mass Communication/Media Studies and Communications from South Carolina State University.
