Shayla Riddick

Assistant Principal Of Scholar Support at KIPP Metro Atlanta

Shayla Riddick possesses extensive experience in educational leadership and special education. Currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Scholar Support at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since July 2017, Shayla has held multiple roles within the organization, including SIS Manager and Dean of Scholar Support. Prior to this, Shayla was the Vice Co-Chair of the Atlanta Unbound Academy Board and worked at KIPP NYC as a Special Education Coordinator and Kindergarten Special Education Teacher. Earlier career experiences include serving as an Exceptional Education Teacher at Dekalb County School District, specializing in 5th grade Interrelated special education, and working as a Substitute Teacher for the City of Waterbury. Shayla holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Clark Atlanta University.
