Andrea Davis has a diverse range of work experience that spans over a decade. Andrea started their career in 2008 as a Teacher at RSD Charter School and then moved on to work as a Teacher and Athletic Coach at Louis S. McGehee School from 2010 to 2012. Andrea then joined Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2012 as a 3rd-grade Level 5 Teacher, where they served for 5 years. During their time at MNPS, they established strong relationships with students and families, and also took on additional responsibilities such as serving as a grade level chair and contributing to school improvement plans. In 2019, they transitioned to KIPP Nashville Public Schools, where they have held various roles in talent recruitment. Andrea started as a Manager of Talent Recruitment for 3 elementary schools, successfully recruiting over 100 top-quality educators. In 2022, Andrea was promoted to Senior Manager of Talent Recruitment, where they managed a team of recruiters and played a key role in achieving diversity goals. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Talent Recruitment, overseeing the recruitment of close to 200 educators for the upcoming school year and managing the department budget.
Andrea Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Tulane University, from 2005 to 2008.
