Stephanie Ockay

Stephanie Ockay is an experienced professional in talent recruitment and education, currently serving as the Director of Talent Recruitment - Leadership at Uncommon Schools since July 2016, after holding various positions within the organization. Prior experience includes a Leadership Design Fellow role at KIPP Foundation and a Grade Level Chair/7th Grade English Teacher position at KIPP DC, where Ockay successfully led initiatives that improved student outcomes. Earlier career roles include a 10th Grade Literature Teacher with Teach for America at Mastery Charter Schools and a Grants Manager at Children's Crisis Treatment Center, where efforts in grant-seeking significantly supported agency initiatives. Ockay holds a Master’s degree in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, English, and Gender and Women's Studies from Ursinus College.
