Andrea Francis is an experienced educator and leader in special education, currently serving as a School Leader and Founding School Leader Fellow at KIPP Public Schools Northern California since July 2018, where additional responsibilities include Associate Director of Special Education. Prior experience includes roles as a Program Specialist at KIPP Bay Area Schools and Learning Specialist at KIPP Bayview Academy. Andrea's career began at Uncommon Schools as a SPED Coordinator, encompassing various roles such as Teacher and Instructional Leader. Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Severe and Multiple Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University, supplemented by participation in the Rutgers University Minority Biomedical Research Support program.
