Joel Uyenco

Joel Uyenco is an Academics Manager at KIPP Public Schools Northern California, a position held since August 2024. Previously, Joel served as Talent Lead at Caliber Public Schools from June 2022 to July 2024, and as Assistant Principal at KIPP Public Schools Northern California from July 2018 to June 2022, where earlier roles included teaching 4th and 3rd grades. Joel's experience began at KIPP DC from June 2013 to June 2018, teaching 2nd and 3rd grades and completing a Kindergarten Capital Teaching Residency. Additional roles include working as a Student Staff Assistant at the GW Office for Study Abroad, a Team Leader with Jumpstart, and various positions in customer service, including Front of House Staff at Georgetown Cupcake. Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from The George Washington University.
