Lisa Huo's work experience starts with their role as a Development Intern at KIPP Bay Area Schools in 2012. Lisa then worked as a Marketing Intern at Accenture in 2013. In 2014, they interned as a KIPP School Summit Programming Intern at the KIPP Foundation. The following year, they worked as a Knowledge Sharing Intern at the KIPP Foundation. In 2016, they returned to the KIPP Foundation as a Returning Knowledge Sharing Intern.

Starting in 2016, Lisa began their work with College Track as a Quality and Learning Intern. That same year, they also interned at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.

Since 2017, Lisa has been with KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Lisa first served as a Spanish Summer School Instructor & Coordinator, then as a Mentor Teacher for the KIPP Public Schools Northern California Teacher Residency program and the Alder Graduate School of Education. Lisa also worked as a High School Spanish Teacher, where they transformed the Spanish curriculum to cater to modern students and utilized technology tools. Additionally, they held the position of Spanish Department Chair, where they organized meetings and supported curriculum internalization. Currently, Lisa is working as an Instructional Coach and a Content Specialist, although the dates for these roles are not specified.

Throughout their various roles, Lisa has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship, as well as a dedication to creating inclusive learning environments. Lisa has also gained experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment creation.

Lisa Huo's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Middlebury College. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in American Studies in 2017. During their time at Middlebury College in 2016, Lisa also participated in the Middlebury School in Spain, studying the Spanish language.

In 2018, Lisa Huo enrolled at Reach University, where they pursued a Preliminary Single Subject Teaching Credential with a field of study in Spanish. Lisa completed this program in 2020.

Additionally, in June 2022, Lisa obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish (Clear) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
