John Carter

John Carter is an experienced educator with a diverse background in leadership roles within KIPP NYC, where significant contributions as Founding Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean, and Teacher have been made since August 2012. Concurrently, John serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Relay Graduate School of Education since August 2018. Previous roles include serving as Training Academy Director for NYC Teaching Fellows in both 2016 and 2017, where John managed seasonal staff and analyzed performance data to implement growth strategies. Additionally, John was a Corps Member Advisor and Corps Member with Teach For America, advising and coaching first-year teachers and participating in intensive training to support under-resourced public schools. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster.
