Katherine Abreu

Katherine Abreu is an experienced educator currently serving as a 5th Grade Math Teacher and grade team lead at KIPP NYC since August 2022. Prior to this role, Katherine taught 7th Grade Math at Success Academy Charter Schools and served as a 6th Grade Math ACT Teacher at Democracy Prep Public Schools. Katherine's diverse background includes experience as a Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Realty, Inc., and as a Case Manager at BronxWorks. Katherine has also contributed to event services at Syracuse University, where interaction with students and staff was a key responsibility. Katherine began as a mentee in the Minds Matter program, focusing on academic excellence and college readiness. Katherine holds a B.S. in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a MAT in Special Education at Relay Graduate School of Education.
