Kristen O'Toole

Kristen O'Toole is the Department Head of Student Support Services at KIPP NYC, a position held since August 2020, after serving as a Special Education Teacher, Assistant Department Head of Special Education, and Special Education Coordinator in the same institution. Prior to KIPP NYC, Kristen worked at Democracy Prep Public Schools from August 2014 to August 2020 as a Special Education Coordinator and 8th Grade Special Education Teacher. Additional experience includes roles as a Teacher Assistant at Watervliet Junior-Senior High School, Substitute Teacher at Capital Region BOCES, Outreach Assistant Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, and Writing Center Tutor at The College of Saint Rose. Kristen holds a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English Adolescent Education, both from The College of Saint Rose.
