Ryan Gyanchand

Ryan Gyanchand currently serves as the Psychology PLC Lead at KIPP NYC, where responsibilities include organizing and leading a professional learning community for 12th-grade Psychology, facilitating data-driven discussions to analyze student performance, and providing mentorship to fellow teachers. Previously, Ryan held various educational roles, including Mentor Teacher and Grade Level Leader at Uncommon Schools, contributing to instructional support, professional development, and the development of college preparatory curricula. Ryan's earlier experience as a Biology and AP Biology Teacher involved innovative lesson planning and fostering a supportive learning environment. A background in healthcare includes positions as a Medical Scribe and Emergency Medical Technician, along with research assistance focused on global diseases. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University–Newark and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Spanish Language/Literature from Binghamton University.
