Emily Hefferman

Emily Hefferman's work experience has been in the education sector. Emily started their career in 2008 as a Site Coordinator at Moving Forward Education, where they worked until 2012. From 2008 to 2013, they also served as an Outreach and After School Facilitator at Girls Incorporated of Greater Santa Barbara. In 2013, they joined YMCA North Brooklyn as an Enrichment Coordinator, where they coordinated staff and participants in an engaging enrichment curriculum. Emily then moved on to Uncommon Schools in 2014, initially as a Teacher and later as an Instruction Lead from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, they joined KIPP SoCal Public Schools in 2019, where they currently work as a Teacher.

Emily Hefferman earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz between 2007 and 2011. Emily then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching at the Relay Graduate School of Education from 2015 to 2017.
