Gina Pizzolorusso has extensive work experience in the field of theatre and education. Gina began their career in 2008 as a Drama & Acting Activity Leader and Director at Educational Alliance, where they worked until 2011. From 2005 to 2011, Gina served as a Performing Arts Teacher (PK-8th) at the NYC Department of Education. In 2011, they joined KIPP NYC as a Theatre and Movement Teacher/Director and remained with the organization until 2016. Since 2016, Gina has been working as a Theatre Teacher at KIPP SoCal Public Schools.
Gina Pizzolorusso earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre Performance from the University of South Florida in 2003. Gina then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Theatre from New York University, completing it in 2005. In 2015, Gina obtained a California Teaching Credential, specifically in English - Clear Single Subject. In addition to their academic achievements, they hold certifications in AED/CPR and a New York State Teaching License in Theatre.
