Michelle Rojas-Soto

Michelle Rojas-Soto has a diverse range of work experience. Michelle is currently the Chief Talent and Equity Officer at KIPP SoCal Public Schools. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at Encompass Movement where they created a diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting practice and launched the Global Majority Caucus. Michelle also worked as the Managing Director at Better Eating International, Director of Community Education & Information Dissemination and Technical Assistance at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and Management Consultant at Hands-Free Marketing. Additionally, they served as the General Manager & CEO at Orange Grove Home Care, Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights at Los Angeles Times, and Project Manager at Children's Oncology Group. Michelle has demonstrated expertise in talent management, diversity and inclusion consulting, strategic planning, and data analysis throughout their career.

Michelle Rojas-Soto has a comprehensive education history. Michelle pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, attending from 1993 to 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Caltech, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Biology from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, Michelle completed an Engineering Management Certificate from Caltech during the same period.

Later, Michelle further enhanced their education by obtaining an MBA degree with a focus on Marketing & Entrepreneurship from the USC Marshall School of Business, where they studied from 2001 to 2003.

In addition to their academic degrees, Michelle has also acquired various certifications. Michelle obtained certifications in Human Capital Strategy and Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation from Philanthropy University in April 2018. In May 2016, they completed a certification in Fundraising: How to Connect with Donors from Philanthropy University | An Educational Initiative. Furthermore, Michelle obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot in April 2015. Lastly, they received an Engineering Management Certificate from Caltech, although the specific month and year are not provided.
