Symone Richard

Symone Richard, Ed.M, MA, currently serves as a Teacher and DEI lead at KIPP Texas Public Schools since July 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Mathematics Department Chair at Capitol Hill High School from July 2017 to August 2022 and a Corps Member with Teach For America from June 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, Symone has worked as a Substitute Teacher at both Galena Park ISD and Harris County Department of Education, and held a position as a Cashier at HEB. Early career experiences include a role as a Student Assistant and Student Researcher at Prairie View A&M University. Symone holds a Master of Education in Secondary School Administration/Principalship from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution.
