Allen Penate

Allen Penate has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. Allen started their career as a Software Engineer/Professor of Computer Programming at the University of Information Sciences, where they led and developed desktop application-related projects and delivered lectures on programming topics.

Following this, Allen worked as a Principal Software Engineer at ETECSA_Cuba, where they developed and maintained the Telephone Directory Management System, a nationwide system using .Net Framework, MS SQLServer, and SSRS.

Afterwards, they worked as an Independent Senior Software Engineer, specializing in developing and maintaining custom content management systems and e-commerce web solutions for various clients.

Currently, Allen is working at Kipu Systems as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. In this role, they lead the UI/UX Team and has made significant contributions to the company's projects, including building a UI Design System and a components library. Allen is also responsible for implementing the Patient Portal UI Layout and Documents module, as well as architecting and implementing a reliable Notifications System.

Allen Penate obtained their Engineer's Degree in Information Technology from the Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría" (CUJAE) from 2000 to 2005.
