Halle Sminchak

Halle Sminchak is an experienced legal and compliance professional currently serving as Vice President of Compliance and Legal at The Kirby Company since July 2021. Prior to this role, Halle held the position of Senior Corporate Counsel at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC for a brief period in 2020 and was previously Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Human Resources at The Kirby Company from 2008 to 2020, where Halle progressed through various positions focused on business compliance and public relations. Additional board experience includes roles at the Direct Selling Education Foundation and the Direct Selling Association from 2016 to 2018. Early legal experience included serving as an attorney at Javitch Block LLC after completing legal education at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where Halle earned a Juris Doctor degree, and a Bachelor's degree in History and English from Elon University.
