Gabriela Powell

Gabriela Powell is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Legal and Compliance at CAIS since August 2021, Gabriela empowers over 8,300 advisor teams managing more than $3 trillion in assets and has facilitated over $21 billion in transaction volume in an innovative financial marketplace. Prior to this role, Gabriela was the Director of Operations at PreK.com, where responsibilities included overseeing operations for an online platform connecting parents with preschools and managing client relations and team dynamics. Gabriela's career also includes nearly two decades as Chief Compliance Officer at Oppenheimer + Close, LLC, focusing on compliance, regulatory reporting, and client relations. Gabriela holds a Certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University and is a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional from The Wharton School.
