David Culhane

Project Engineer at Kirby Group Engineering

David Culhane has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Labourer at Moloney Roofing for a period of two months. In 2014, they briefly worked as an Assistant Surveyor at ACS. In 2015, they joined Johnson & Johnson as a Production Technician, responsible for quality control, root cause analysis, and reporting production line problems. From 2017 to 2018, David worked at SSE Renewables as a Graduate Engineer, where they monitored wind turbine supplier crane erection activities and enforced site safety rules. In 2018, they became a Process Equipment Engineer at Kerry Foods, managing site fitters and electricians and organizing critical maintenance. In 2019, David transitioned to Kirby Group Engineering, initially as a Facilities Engineer, responsible for monitoring BMS and FMS systems and updating AutoCAD site drawings. David later became a Project Engineer, where they validated EPMS on the Microsoft Data Centre project and conducted snagging of electrical equipment.

David Culhane attended Tarbert Comprehensive from 2006 to 2011, where they completed their Junior and Leaving Cert. David then went on to study at the Limerick Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Level 7 in Electrical and Automation Engineering. Following this, they furthered their education at the Limerick Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2015, obtaining a degree in Sustainable and Electrical Energy Systems Level 8 in the field of Electrical and Automation Engineering.
