David Souza has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 when they worked as a Materials and Process Engineer at Unilon Plastic Trade. David was responsible for the recycling process of Aramid fiber (kevlar) from various sources. David then worked as an Engineer Intern at DuPont in 2014, where they focused on recycling Kevlar and reducing costs.
In 2015, David joined An Óige - Irish Youth Hostel Association, where they held various positions including Operations Team member, Operations Supervisor, and Assistant Manager. During this time, they gained experience in managing hostel operations and ensuring smooth functioning.
In 2019, David transitioned to the role of Event Executive at Press Up Entertainment Group. David was responsible for overseeing all aspects of event operations, including staffing, guest interactions, logistics, and cost management. David worked diligently to ensure a high level of satisfaction for all event attendees.
In 2021, David joined LMC Group Ltd as a Mechanical QA/QC engineer, where they ensured compliance with quality specifications, advised subcontractors on QA issues, and integrated QA/QC procedures into the company's systems. David later transitioned to the role of Mechanical Project Engineer, where they coordinated building services and ensured adherence to quality standards and procedures.
Currently, David is working as a Mechanical Engineer at Kirby Group Engineering, starting in January 2023. David plays a key role in organizing and delegating engineering and design tasks for the production of construction documents, primarily focusing on Data Centre facilities.
David's work experience showcases their versatility, as they have transitioned between industries and gained valuable skills in engineering, project management, and operations.
David Souza completed their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA with a specialization in Management at Independent College from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Mechanical Engineering from Estácio, which they pursued from 2009 to 2014.
In addition to their formal education, David has also obtained various certifications. These include "The BC(A)R Inspection & Certification System" from CMG Training - The Irish Institute of Professional Education in November 2021, "Procurement Strategies and Tendering" from Coventry University in January 2021, "Step into Construction" from The Ninth Group - City & Guilds Authorised Representative in January 2021, "Safe Pass – Health and Safety Awareness Training Programme" from SOLAS Learning Works in August 2018, and "Manual Handling" from Broadline Group in April 2019.
