Carrie Groves is an experienced purchasing professional with a robust background in material management and procurement. Currently serving as Purchasing Manager at Kirby Risk Service Center since May 2011, Carrie oversees the Purchasing Department and its functions. Prior experience includes roles as Purchasing Agent and Buyer, managing purchasing for electrical components and a multi-specialty medical group, respectively. From 1996 to 2009, Carrie held various positions at Houghton International, Inc., including Purchasing Manager, where responsibilities encompassed daily operations of the Purchasing and Customer Service departments, as well as negotiating with suppliers. Earlier in the career at Smurfit-Stone, roles included Cost Accountant, Payroll Clerk, and Invoicing Clerk, providing a foundation in financial management and customer service. Carrie attended Ivy Tech Community College from 1993 to 1994, studying Business Management.
