Aftab Hussain

Aftab Hussain currently serves as an Engineering Lecturer and Space Education Lead at Kirklees College since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Access to HE Engineering Assessor at Doncaster College and Subject Matter Expert at City & Guilds, where Aftab contributed to the creation of Engineering OTQ SmartScreen resources. Aftab also completed a summer internship at the Institute of Space Technology in July 2024. Prior teaching experience encompasses engineering lecturing at Wakefield College and Leeds City College, along with a role as a Trainee Design Engineer at Mansfield Pollard & Co Ltd. Aftab's educational background includes ongoing PhD studies in Novel Laser Power Transfer Networks for Space Applications at the University of Bradford, a Master's in Satellite Systems Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Additionally, Aftab holds a Diploma in Education and Teaching, and a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
