Elsie DiBella

Sr Vice President Technical Operations at Kisbee Therapeutics

Elsie DiBella has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on technical operations, manufacturing, and development. Elsie'smost recent role was as the Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Kisbee Therapeutics, a position they began in May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Manufacturing and Development at ContraFect Corp from March 2021 to May 2022.

Before these roles, DiBella worked at Momenta Pharmaceuticals from September 2017 to March 2021, where they held the position of Vice President of Biologics Process and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) Development. Elsie'sresponsibilities included leading the development of cell line, cell culture, and downstream biologics processes for various biosimilar and novel biological products and overseeing in-house laboratory operations. Elsie also played a key role in developing CMC strategies and preparing documentation for regulatory agencies.

Prior to Momenta Pharmaceuticals, DiBella held roles at Shire from 2013 to 2016, including Senior Director of Head of CMC Programs, Manufacturing Sciences, and Technology. In this position, they were responsible for overseeing commercial CMC biologics portfolios and product teams, as well as leading global CMC activities for specific programs and providing leadership and management in statistical process control.

Earlier in their career, DiBella worked at Shire HGT as an Associate Director, where they led the statistical process control and regulatory support group. Elsie also held the role of Associate Director in Purification Process Development, overseeing the development and optimization of chromatography and virus inactivation/removal process steps.

DiBella's career began at Centocor R&D, Inc., where they were an Associate Director overseeing late-phase purification development and technology transfer of monoclonal antibody and fusion protein biologics. Elsie also worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Senior Research Investigator II, leading a group of research scientists and directing the purification and characterization efforts of recombinant proteins.

Overall, Elsie DiBella has a wealth of experience in technical operations, manufacturing, and development, and has played key roles at various pharmaceutical companies throughout their career.

Elsie DiBella attended Bates College from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. After completing their undergraduate studies, they proceeded to Cornell University from 1987 to 1996, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry.
