Jens Weber

Jens Weber has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jens began their career as a Praktikant at Intespace in 1996. Following that, they established their own company, Jens Weber Netzwerk, Handel und Service, in 1998. In 2000, they joined synaix Gesellschaft für angewandte Informations-Technologien mbH as a Manager of Network Infrastructure and Datacenter Facilities, where they remained until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they held the position of Director of Datacenter Operations and Prokurist at CANCOM synaix GmbH. Jens then moved to CANCOM, where they served as the Director of Datacenter Operations from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, Jens joined operado GmbH as a Senior Cloud Solution Architect, specializing in the Cloud Management Division. Currently, they are working at KISTERS AG as a Business Continuity Management Officer and Deputy CISO, starting in 2022.

Jens Weber completed their education at Aachen University of Applied Sciences - FH Aachen from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) in the field of Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik. In addition to their formal education, Jens has also obtained several certifications in recent years. Jens became a Datenschutzbeauftragter gemäß DSGVO und BDSG-neu from Bitkom in April 2023. In September 2022, they achieved the certification of Certified BCM-Manager from TÜV TRUST IT GmbH. Furthermore, Jens obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft in January 2022 and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon in December 2021.
