Ali Hoorsun has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Ali started their career as a computer programmer at Marshall University School of Medicine in 1987. From there, they worked as a systems analyst at Tokai Computer Systems before becoming a lecturer and instructor at Kochi University of Technology / Kochi Computer College. In 1995, Ali founded their own business, PCE Consulting, where they served as the founder and business owner until 2001. Ali then joined Honeywell and held various roles including marketing manager, sales leader, and international key account manager. In 2009, Ali joined Kieback&Peter GmbH as an international market development manager. Ali later moved to UTC Fire & Security, where they served as the director of global marketing and business development. Ali's most recent role is as the general manager and director of European operations at Kitamura Machinery, a position they have held since 2018. Additionally, in 2017, Ali founded Sunmark Consulting.

Ali Hoorsun received an AS in Computer Operations & Data Processing from Kirkwood Community College from 1985 to 1987. Later, from 1987 to 1990, they obtained a BS in Computer Science & Business Administration from Marshall University. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications throughout their career, including "Exercising Leadership" from HarvardX, "Pragmatic Marketing Level 3" from Pragmatic Marketing, "Leadership Skills," "Essentials of Supervision," and "Six Sigma Green Belt," all from Honeywell.
