Yui Komatsu

Yui Komatsu has a solid work experience in the field of design. Yui is currently working as a Product Designer at Kivra since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a UX & Visual Designer at Koeda Studio starting from March 2021. Before joining Koeda Studio, Yui held the position of Senior UX/Visual Designer at Steamery Stockholm from February 2020 to January 2021. Yui also worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior UX/Visual Designer from January 2018 to February 2020. Yui's earlier experiences include working at Veryday as both a Senior UX/Visual Designer from December 2018 to January 2020, and as a UX/Visual Designer from August 2015 to November 2018. Before these roles, they started their professional journey as a Visual Design Intern at Perfect Fools from February 2014 to January 2015. Yui also gained experience as an Interaction Design Intern at HUMlab, Umeå University from June 2013 to August 2013.

Yui Komatsu completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Communication Art and Design at Tokyo Gakugei University from 2008 to 2012. Yui then pursued their Master of Design in Interaction Design at Umeå Institute of Design from 2012 to 2015. In 2010 to 2011, Yui was an exchange student at Umeå University, focusing on Graphic Design. Additionally, they attended a summer course in Textile Design and Print at Capellagården in 2019.
