Steffen Rietz has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Steffen has worked at Kiwigrid GmbH since 2015, where they started as the Head of Quality Management and later took on roles such as Team Lead Platform QA and Director of Services. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Service & Quality. Prior to Kiwigrid, Steffen worked at Intel Mobile Communications as a Technical Project Manager and Senior Manager for LTE Component Verification and Validation. Steffen also had experience at Blue Wonder Communications GmbH as a Manager for System Integration and Validation, and at Signalion GmbH as an FPGA Designer. In addition, they worked at ST-NXP Wireless and NXP Semiconductors as a Senior Engineer. Steffen began their career at Philips as a Senior Engineer and later at Systemonic as an Engineer IC Design. Steffen then worked at NEC Electronics as an IC Designer and completed their Ph.D. as a student at Fraunhofer Institut für Mikroelektronische Schaltungen und Systeme.

Steffen Rietz completed their education with a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Microelectronics and Microsystems from Technische Universität Dresden, which they attended from 1991 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their Abitur from Humboldt-Gymnasium Berlin between 1988 and 1990. Before entering high school, Steffen attended 2. POS Berlin from 1980 to 1988. In terms of additional certifications, Steffen acquired a certification in Workshop People Management: Leadership and Human Resources Management from Kompakttraining.de in November 2011. Steffen also obtained a Basics of People Management certification from Intel Corporation, though the specific time of acquisition is unknown.
