Abbie McClung, MBA, QMHA has a diverse work experience in various industries. Abbie started their career as a Social Service Specialist I at the Oregon Department of Human Services in 2004, where they provided case management and ensured the well-being of children in difficult family situations. In 2005, they joined Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) as the Klamath County Healthy Start Supervisor, overseeing staff and providing services to at-risk families.

In 2003, Abbie co-owned MC's on Main, LLC, a privately owned restaurant and catering company. Abbie was responsible for strategic planning, operations, brand management, and compliance with federal food service and military contracts. Abbie also managed personnel and community involvement.

Abbie has also held teaching positions at Klamath Community College and Oregon Institute of Technology as an Adjunct Business Instructor. Abbie developed marketing, social media, and customer service curriculum and syllabi, delivered lectures, and designed course materials.

Prior to that, they worked as a K-12 Substitute Teacher at Klamath Falls City School District in 2017.

Abbie's early career includes a long tenure at New Earth Co. as the Director of Communications. During their time there from 1994 to 2015, they managed communication strategies and activities.

Currently, Abbie holds the position of Director of Communications at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH), which they started in 2017.

Abbie McClung, MBA, QMHA has a strong educational background in various fields. Abbie obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Southern Oregon University in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication Studies from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2004. Abbie also minored in Psychology at Oregon Institute of Technology during the same time period.

In addition to their academic achievements, Abbie McClung has pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills. Abbie obtained a Restricted Substitute Teaching License from the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in June 2017. Abbie also earned a Dispute Resolution Certificate from Oregon Institute of Technology in June 2004. Abbie is a QMHA-I (Qualified Mental Health Associate - I) certified by the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon since December 2018. Furthermore, they are a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer certified by the QPR Institute as of December 2019.
