David Sykes

David Sykes is the Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna, a leading global payments and shopping provider. David has over a decade of experience in strategic leadership roles across a range of industries.

David was previously the Chief Operating Officer at QuadPay, a startup that provides an alternative to credit cards for online shoppers. David was responsible for QuadPay's growth and expansion into new markets. Prior to that, David was the General Manager International at Crown Resorts, one of Australia's largest tourism and entertainment companies. David was responsible for Crown's businesses in China, Macau, and Singapore.

Before their work in the private sector, David was the Founder and Executive Director of the Australian Rugby Foundation, where they helped to grow the game of rugby in Australia. David also served as the Head of Strategy and Business Development at the Australian Rugby Union. In this role, they were responsible for growing revenue and expanding the reach of rugby in Australia and around the world.

David began their career as a Law Clerk at King & Wood Mallesons, one of Australia's largest law firms. David later served as a Legal Officer at the Attorney-General's Department.

David is a graduate of the University of Sydney, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honors.

David Sykes has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from The Australian National University in International Relations and Public International Law.
