Hannes Belen

Hannes Belen has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Hannes started their career at Zalando in 2016 as a Frontend Engineer, working on projects such as Collabary, an influencer marketing platform, and Zalando Logistics, where they developed frontend tooling for data management. In 2018, they joined Klarna, starting as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, integrating Apple Pay and Google Pay with Klarna Card. Hannes then took on the role of Associate Engineering Manager, leading a team and adding support for financing solutions to Klarna Card. Hannes later became an Engineering Manager, overseeing multiple teams and expanding payment methods in various markets. Hannes then became an Engineering Group Manager, responsible for career development and ensuring tech deliveries in the Card Experience group. Currently, Hannes holds the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Klarna.

Hannes Belen completed their education at Ghent University. Hannes first obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Informatics in the years 2010 to 2015. Hannes then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science Engineering from 2014 to 2016. Hannes also holds additional certifications, including a Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering from Ghent University, which they obtained in September 2016, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, obtained in September 2015. Additionally, Hannes obtained a European Driving License B in April 2015.
