Hassan Kamal

Hassan Kamal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Hassan is currently working at Klarna, where they started in January 2020 as a Sr. Software Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the credit-variables team, building ML features for credit risk decisions. Hassan built stream processing pipelines using various technologies such as Kafka, Apache Flink, Dynamodb Streams, and AWS Lambda. Hassan also made contributions to the SDK, abstracting away infrastructure and enabling faster feature deployment.

Prior to Klarna, Hassan worked at TeamCore Solutions as a Software Engineer from July 2017 to January 2020. During their time there, they refactored the entire codebase from a single-tenant to a multi-tenant application, supporting isolated databases for each client.

Before TeamCore Solutions, Hassan was a Full-stack Developer at TOTEAT S.A. from August 2016 to July 2017. Hassan took ownership of the back-office, building web-based solutions for internal teams to manage and onboard customers. Hassan'swork significantly reduced manual tasks and improved customer satisfaction.

In 2015, Hassan co-founded Jobsquare.cl, an HR Tech startup where they served as the Co-Founder & CTO until August 2016. Hassan managed a team of remote freelancers and took the product from ideation to a market-ready solution with paying customers. Hassan developed features such as an applicant tracking system and CV database with advanced search and filtering capabilities.

Earlier in their career, Hassan was a co-founder at Aquila Labs from September 2014 to June 2015. Hassan worked on developing a Learning Management Solution and demonstrated skills in front-end development, software requirements specification, leadership, database design, and business strategy.

Hassan's work experience also includes a summer internship as an Android Dev Intern at Qairus Pvt. Ltd. in 2013. During this internship, they worked on Android development, creative user interface designs, video streaming protocols, databases, and product research and development.

Hassan Kamal completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer System Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications in the field of machine learning. Hassan completed courses such as "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and various mathematics courses for machine learning, all from Coursera. These certifications were obtained between December 2018 and May 2019.
