Himanshu Saxena

Himanshu Saxena has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Himanshu is currently working at Klarna as a Lead Software Engineer, where they are responsible for building and managing an orchestration framework for the deployment of applications. Himanshu has also implemented improvements in the deployment flow to achieve Canary based deployments. Prior to this, Himanshu worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Klarna.

Before joining Klarna, Himanshu worked at ZS as an Associate Consultant. Here, they developed a framework for provisioning and orchestrating automated deployments of services on the Kubernetes environment. Himanshu also played a key role in architecting the Kubernetes network infrastructure for better isolation and security of deployed services. Additionally, they developed a framework for central provisioning and maintenance of resources on AWS.

Himanshu also gained experience at Telstra as a Senior Technology Specialist, where they developed automation solutions for enhancing security practices and intrusion detection. Himanshu also developed CI-CD pipelines for deploying applications over the Kubernetes cluster and automated scaling of the cluster based on custom metrics. Their work at Telstra involved scripting in Python, Ansible, Terraform, and shell.

At Verizon, Himanshu worked as an Analyst and Software Engineer. Himanshu led the DevOps initiative for Data Warehouse Projects, proposing the design and architecture for the DevOps lifecycle. Himanshu also developed a toolset to streamline developer efforts using AWS Serverless Architecture. Additionally, they automated EC2 instance preparation and environment provisioning using AWS Lambda, Jenkins, Ansible, and Cloud Formation.

Himanshu's earlier experiences include working as a Training and Placement Representative at Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College and as an intern at STMicroelectronics.

Himanshu Saxena completed their B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from J.N. Government Engineering College, Sundernagar, from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their 12th grade from D.A.V. Sr. Sec. School in Lakkar Bazaar, Shimla, from 2008 to 2010, where they focused on Science. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications as a Docker Certified Associate from Docker, Inc. in July 2019, and as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2017.
