Taavi Laanemaa

Taavi Laanemaa is a seasoned technical leader and software engineer with extensive experience in credit modelling, underwriting, and system development. Currently serving as Technical Team Lead at Klarna since June 2020, Taavi focuses on team development and the creation of input variables for credit decisioning. Previous roles at Klarna include Senior Software Engineer, where Taavi contributed to core credit decisioning systems and implemented internal microservices. Taavi has also held significant positions at MYJAR, where both team leadership and software engineering skills were applied in microservice architecture and development, along with earlier experience at Telia Eesti in frontend development for set-top boxes and at Hestia Capital in full stack engineering. Taavi's career began in financial analysis at RSA, complemented by a BA in Economics from TalTech.
