J.D. D. has extensive experience in information security and IT roles. J.D. currently holds the position of Vice President - Chief Information Security Officer at KLDiscovery, where they have been since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as Vice President Information Security at the same company from March 2016 to November 2022. In this role, they led the IT organization through significant company growth and oversaw the development of internal policies and client response processes.

Before joining KLDiscovery, J.D. D. founded and co-owned Lighthouse Land Management LLC in 2018. J.D. also held positions at General Dynamics Mission Systems as Sr. Advanced Engineer IA from 2012 to 2016, at General Dynamics Information Technology as Principal Analyst, Info Security from 2010 to 2012, at General Dynamics Mission Systems as Sr. Specialist from 2008 to 2010, at HCR ManorCare as Network Security Analyst from 2007 to 2008, at ACS Healthcare Provider Solutions as Network Systems Administrator from 2006 to 2007, and in the United States Air Force as a Communications - Computer Systems Operations specialist from 2002 to 2006.

Throughout their career, J.D. D. has been responsible for various aspects of information security, including vulnerability assessments, compliance with regulatory standards, policy development, and risk assessments.

J.D. D. holds a Bachelor's Degree Cum Laude in Liberal Studies from The University of Toledo. They also obtained an Associate's Degree in Information Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Additionally, J.D. D. has obtained several certifications including CISSP, CompTIA A ce, CompTIA Security ce, and Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) from various institutions such as (ISC)² and CompTIA. Furthermore, they have acquired certifications in EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation and EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner (GDPR P) from IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).
