Terrence R. McDonnell has a diverse work experience in the field of structural engineering. Terrence R. started their career as an Engineering Intern at Black & Veatch in 1995. Terrence R. then worked as an Engineer at Cornerstone Engineering and later joined Carl Walker Inc as an Engineer. In 1998, they joined Thornton Tomasetti as an Associate and successfully managed various design and investigation projects. In 2007, they opened the Chicago office for Halcrow Yolles and served as Principal and Regional Manager, managing teams for different projects. In 2012, they joined EXP as a Client Manager & Director of Buildings Structural Services and oversaw structural service activities across the US offices. Terrence R. then worked at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc., where they achieved significant growth and led solutions for various client challenges. Currently, they serve as an Associate Principal at Klein & Hoffman, where they collaboratively deliver architectural restoration and structural engineering solutions. Terrence R.'swork experience showcases their expertise in forensic engineering, concrete repair, structural glass, and new materials.
Terrence R. McDonnell has a High School Diploma from Dearborn Divine Child. Terrence R. earned their Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering in 1995. Terrence then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1998. In 2003, they attended the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Gleacher Center) for Audit in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. In 2017, Terrence completed Executive Education on Practicing Positive Leadership from the University of Michigan.
