Terry McDonald has a diverse work experience in the field of structural engineering. Terry started their career as a Summer Intern Engineer at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. in 1999. Terry then joined Dietrich Metal Framing in 2000 as a Project Engineer. After that, they worked at Aegis Metal Framing as a Project Engineer, where they were promoted to start a joint venture between Dietrich Industries and Mitek Inc. Terry later joined Perry & Associates in 2002 as a Project Engineer, where they performed structural design for residential and commercial structures. In 2004, they joined Klein & Hoffman, where they currently hold the role of Associate Principal and will transition to become a Principal in September 2022.
Terry McDonald, SE, PE completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structures Specialty at Purdue University from 1996 to 2000. In addition to this degree, Terry holds various certifications, including being a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois since 2007, a licensed Professional Structural Engineer in Illinois since 2006, and possessing the Part 107 - Remote Pilot Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
