Vishal Sharma

Vishal Sharma started their career as an Assistant System Engineer Trainee with Tata Consultancy Services in December 2015. During this role, they underwent four months of rigorous training in the Business Intelligence Domain, gaining knowledge in Oracle DB 11g and Informatica tool for data transformations and workflow management.

After completing their training, Vishal became a Software Developer in March 2016. Vishal worked on the Citibank Next Generation Architecture project, where they were responsible for transitioning legacy mainframe/Cobol batch processes to Java-based batch processes using the Spring Batch framework.

In August 2016, Vishal transitioned to the role of a Big Data Engineer. Vishal worked on a project in the airline domain, aiming to improve campaign efficiency by targeting de-duplicated customers for cross-selling. Vishal used Spark and Python as processing frameworks, created a customer 360 view by consolidating data from various sources, and implemented fuzzy logic and rule-based approaches for deduplication.

In March 2017, Vishal took on the role of an Analytical Engineer within Tata Consultancy Services. Vishal worked on a project focused on building a recommendation engine for logistics and fleet management. Using regression techniques, they predicted spot prices of shipments and carrier availability. Vishal also collaborated with the solution architect to determine the technology stack for the project.

Vishal then joined PwC India as a Consultant in August 2018. Vishal worked on multiple projects, including Risk Management Analytics for Global Partners, where they conducted impact analysis of co-sell deals and created central schemas and KPIs for each partner. Vishal also worked on the Direct Benefit Transfer Mission, where they conceptualized and developed a centralized MIS for central and state schemes.

In December 2019, Vishal joined OLX Group as a Growth Specialist. In this role, they focused on driving growth and optimizing strategies for the company.

Most recently, Vishal became a Senior Product Analyst at eBay Kleinanzeigen in June 2022. Vishal is currently contributing to the analysis and improvement of the company's product offerings.

Vishal Sharma obtained their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, from 2012 to 2015.
