Matt Chibe has a diverse work experience in the broadcasting industry. Matt started their career in 2007 as a Producer, Editor, Director, and Production member at Lombard Public Access TV. Matt then worked as a Promotions Coordinator at Jack FM Chicago in 2009-2010. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a Producer at KEPR News. Matt then moved on to work at KHQ-TV as a Producer in 2012-2013 and later at WZTV Fox 17 as a Producer in 2013-2015. From 2015 to 2017, they held the roles of Senior Producer and Executive Producer at FOX 35 Orlando, WOFL-TV. In 2017-2018, they worked as an Executive Producer at KGW, an NBC affiliate television station in Portland. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of Executive Producer at KUTV 2News / KMYU, and they are currently working as an Assistant News Director at KLKN-TV since October 2021.
Matt Chibe attended Northern Illinois University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.

It was unheard of, maybe even a bit unbelievable that a city the size of Lincoln, Nebraska before March 1996 had only one local commercial television station. This was the case until Channel 8 KLKN-TV flipped the switch in the spring of 1996, providing Lincoln with its own ABC affiliate and something more in a television station for the Lincoln and surrounding community. On May 16, 2019, Channel 8 KLKN-TV and sister station WLNE-TV in Providence, RI were purchased by Standard Media Group from Citadel Communication L.L.C. We're hiring!
