Yousef Nasser is an accomplished sports journalist with extensive experience in various roles, including Sports MMJ at KLKN-TV since July 2020, where responsibilities include covering the Nebraska Cornhuskers and local high school and college teams. Previous positions include reporting for Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where Yousef developed story ideas and produced content for multiple platforms, and serving as Game Night Staff for the Chicago Bulls, transcribing quotes for media distribution. Additional experience encompasses play-by-play announcing for Northwestern University sports, content management for DMVSTREAM.COM, and internships focusing on production and broadcast within sports media. Yousef holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Digital Studies from the University of Mary Washington.

It was unheard of, maybe even a bit unbelievable that a city the size of Lincoln, Nebraska before March 1996 had only one local commercial television station. This was the case until Channel 8 KLKN-TV flipped the switch in the spring of 1996, providing Lincoln with its own ABC affiliate and something more in a television station for the Lincoln and surrounding community. On May 16, 2019, Channel 8 KLKN-TV and sister station WLNE-TV in Providence, RI were purchased by Standard Media Group from Citadel Communication L.L.C. We're hiring!
