Luis de la Torre has held various leadership positions, currently serving as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board at KLRN since 2011 and the Immediate Past Board Chair of the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio since 2010. In addition, Luis de la Torre is a member of the Board of Directors for Spurs Gives since 2017. Previously, Luis de la Torre was the President and General Manager at Clear Channel Outdoor from July 1999 to April 2024. Luis de la Torre is an alumnus of the University of Florida.

The mission of KLRN is to open a world of lifelong learning through trustworthy and enriching programs on-air, online and in the community. KLRN is PBS. No one else does what we do. We get children ready to learn and we bring adults on journeys of exploration and adventure through our programs, events and resources. We strive daily to maintain our status as a quality local resource that provides news and information that our community needs to know about.
