Jacob Borden is a Research and Development Engineer at KLS Martin Group since March 2023, previously serving as an IPS Design Engineer focused on designing patient-specific surgical implants for reconstructive cranio-maxillofacial surgeries. Jacob's experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Researcher at USF College of Engineering, where experiments were conducted using Motek's Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment to observe gait dynamics, and as a Haptic Device Engineer responsible for constructing and streamlining production processes for haptic devices. Additional experience includes serving as a Medical Device R&D Scholar at Jabil, applying the Stanford Biodesign process for pulse oximetry devices, and participating in undergraduate research projects analyzing large electron microscopy datasets. A member of the US Virgin Islands Men's National Soccer Team, Jacob developed key leadership and communication skills while representing the Virgin Islands internationally. Jacob holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
