Laura Defouw

Laura DeFouw, CPA, currently serves as the US Tax Partner & Practice Leader for SALT, Credits & Incentives/Location Advisory at KNAV US since April 2024. Prior to this role, Laura accumulated extensive experience at Grant Thornton LLP from May 2011 to March 2024, holding various positions including Director of SALT, where responsibilities encompassed leading the West Region and National WOTC practices, enhancing capital investment returns through tax incentives, and supporting international clients. Laura also progressed through roles as Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate in SALT, beginning as an intern in the same area. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University and has a diverse educational background including institutions such as Northwestern Michigan College and Boston University.
