Gladys Akom Ankobrey

Gladys Akom Ankobrey is a dedicated academic and researcher with extensive experience in social work, urban education, and migration studies. Currently serving as a Tutor at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Gladys teaches Social Agenda while also contributing as a Program Coordinator and Researcher at the Centre of Expertise Urban Education, focusing on 'Funds of Knowledge' and inclusive learning. Gladys has held various roles, including Postdoctoral Researcher and Tutor at Maastricht University, where research involved transnational migration networks and ethnography. As a member of the KNAW initiative Faces of Science, Gladys engages high school students with academia. Educational credentials include a Master's in Migration and Diaspora Studies from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from the University of Amsterdam.
