Kees Schouhamer Immink is a distinguished engineer and academic, currently serving as a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, as well as the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen and the KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen. With a longstanding tenure as president of Turing Machines Inc., Kees holds the title of foreign member of the National Academy of Engineering and is actively involved in Rotary International's Rotterdam Club. Kees has held several prestigious visiting and adjunct professorships at institutions such as the Singapore University of Technology and Design, the Institute for Experimental Mathematics, and Nanyang Technological University. Educational credentials include an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Johannesburg, a PhD in Information Theory, and a Master of Engineering, both from Eindhoven University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
