Pablo Valdivia is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the fields of culture, literature, and data science. As the Academic Director at OSL-The Netherlands Research School for Literary Studies since December 2018, along with roles as Director of the Research Institute for the Study of Culture and Chair-Full Professor of European Culture & Literature at the University of Groningen, Valdivia has significantly contributed to research and education. Additional positions include Associate in Applied Physics at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Scientific & Academic Advisor at NIAS-KNAW and KNAW, General Co-Editor for Routledge Companions to Hispanic and Latin American Studies, and Research Fellow at Universidad de Antioquia and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Valdivia's academic journey is supported by a PhD in Philosophy of Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham, an MA in European Literature and Theater from U.N.E.D., and undergraduate degrees in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory from Universidad de Valladolid and Hispanic Philology from Universidad de Granada.
