Christopher Newborn

Christopher Newborn, MSPM, CISSP, is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in consulting and leadership roles within the defense sector. Currently serving as a Cyber Security Consultant at KNC Strategic Services since August 2021, Newborn provides critical consulting services for acquisition programs related to network security capabilities. Prior to this role, Newborn was a Professor specializing in Cybersecurity at the Defense Acquisition University, where engagement with various national security agencies was a key aspect of the job. Former positions also include Acting Director of Cybersecurity at SPAWAR, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of cyberspace capabilities for Fleet readiness, as well as leadership in workforce transition and acquisition management for cybersecurity programs. Newborn holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Morehouse College.
