Vice President & Director of Engineering at KnightHawk Engineering, Inc

Thomas Garza has a diverse work experience in engineering and management. Thomas started their career in 1988 as a Lead Furnace Engineer at Stone & Webster, where they worked until 1998. Then, in 2000, they joined Chevron Phillips Chemical Company as a Principal Engineer in the areas of Fixed Equipment and Inspection. Later, they took on the role of Manager of Fixed Equipment, Quality, and Inspection at the same company until 2023. Currently, they have been appointed as the Vice President and Director of Engineering at KnightHawk Engineering, Inc. In this position, Mr. Garza is responsible for overseeing and supervising all engineering projects and participating in the overall management of the company.

Thomas Garza completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston between the years 1990 and 1997. Thomas has also obtained several certifications in various fields from the American Petroleum Institute. In 2016, they obtained the API-936 Refractory Installation Quality Control Guidelines certification. Prior to that, in 2015, they obtained the API-580 Risk Based Inspection certification. In 2014, they obtained two certifications: API-570 Piping Inspector and API-510 Pressure Vessel Inspector.
