Christopher Marx

Co-Founder & Board Member at KnipBio

Christopher Marx, PhD., is the co-founder and CTO of KnipBio as well as an Associate Professor in Biological Sciences at the University of Idaho. He is a molecular biologist and evolutionary biologist who uses experimental and mathematical approaches to study the function and evolution of biological systems. He brings 17 years of experience in R&D to the company, and in this time has advanced many of the genetic tools used today. After double majoring in Biology and Environmental Engineering from MIT, Christopher earned his doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Washington. He has held positions at Michigan State University and Harvard University in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology.
